WHAT WE BELIEVE

Divinity Within, Not Above

We believe that human beings are not separated from God. Instead of a supreme being judging humanity from a heavenly throne, we recognize that divinity lives within each of us. Within each person is a spark of divinity, sometimes called the ‘Christ’. This spark is our good, our wisdom, our energy, and our creative expression. We are all unique expressions of the divine in this world.

Jesus was Human, like Us

We believe that Jesus was a mortal man who had mastered the Christ within himself, and sought to guide us to do the same. He was a master teacher and continues to show us how everyone can express their own divine spark. We do not worship Jesus or display iconography of him or the crucifix/cross. Our spiritual practices are based on the life and teachings of Jesus, rather than being defined by his death.

Prayer for Insight, Not Favor

Prayer is a form of creative thinking, which allows us to become in tune with our Divine Spark. In this meditative state, we become aware of our negative and unproductive thoughts, and release them in favor of affirmations. We recognize that our thoughts shape the world within and around us. We do not use prayer to plead or bargain, but to gain insight and harmony.

Heaven Can Exist, Here and Now

Heaven is not a place we go in death, but a state of consciousness we achieve in life.
With our thoughts, beliefs, and energy — we create our own heaven and hell, here and now.

We Live Our Truths

Our Divine Spark is the endlessly creative energy which leads us to act in compassion, love, and acceptance. We behold and appreciate that same creative energy within our friends, family, and communities.
